My 2023 1-bit game jam entry

Running The Game

Currently, I do not have a web build available. You must download the windows zip below, then extract the contents. Double click on "long-walk-home-build.exe". Windows might flag it as insecure, just click run anyway.

In some cases, you may need to install Microsoft C++ Redist in order to run the game.

Controls

• Arrow keys to move left and right
• Space to jump
• Left shift to dash

About

This game was made for the 1-bit game jam, my first game jam! The theme was light & dark. You must make it to the end of the level before the light runs out. You can collect orbs in order to refill the light. There are not many levels and the levels that do exist are pretty... bad. Level design got the lowest priority.

All art is made by me, the music and sound effects are not.

Additional challenges

First of all, while the 1-bit game jam is a week long jam, I was forced to make the game in 48 hours, using C++ and Raylib, both of which I had no prior experience using, so expect bugs.

This game was not meant to be a competing entry, but rather a learning experience.
